What are my responsibilities?
Apply and enforce EHS awareness, safety culture and implement, monitor EHS compliance and validate to EHS Management System that is meeting the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO:14001/2004 Standards.
Conduct pre-operational risk assessments (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment – Aspects Identification & Impact Assessment and COSHH Assessment) at shop services, sites and prepare risk mitigation and effective control measures.
Ensure the required Legal and other requirements are complied as per the Saudi Laws and Siemens Power Generation Services Guidelines.
Gather / collect all the required documentation, operational checks and reports as per the EHS Management System and submit it weekly to EHS Manager
Support and implement Siemens Zero Harm Culture Programs & Directives
Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental issues.
Conduct and attend Dept. EHS meetings as required on EHS related issues.
Assist in developing EHS plans that comply with Company EHS Policy, Objectives based on EHS Manual, Procedures, Operational Controls as well as client Customer’s EHS requirements
Conduct Tool Box Talks/Meetings, EHS Orientation, Induction Trainings
Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment & Aspect Identification and Impact Assessment and ensure those are implemented as part of the company’s EHS program at all ISCOSA Depts.
Conduct Near Misses / Incident Investigations to find the basic root cause of EHS near misses, incidents, non-conformance and complaints as received or reported from staff members, customers, clients and contractors and report the result to the EHS Manager.
Conduct EHS trainings and orientation / induction to all new employees and subcontractor employees as and when required.
Perform Site EHS Inspections, Assessments, Audits on work to be performed with at all activities including ‘ Work ‘Permit ”
Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis, Job Hazard Analysis, Take 5 and inspect job site activities particularly during hazardous or critical work situations.
Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency. Maintains records of such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements.
What do I need to qualify for this job ?
Graduate Degree or Diploma in any Engineering Discipline
Approved Polytechnic/ Vocational School graduate with EHS Qualifications/ Certifications in Workplace Health , Environmental and Safety.
Competent / Experienced with EHS Skills at Shop Services / FS Sites.
Preferably with OHSAS: 18001, ISO:14001, NEBOSH, IOSH Certification and EHS Internal Audit Training
Knowledge and Experience:
3-5 years of basic EHS work experience, knowledge with demonstrated communication skills and handling of key EHS Roles & Responsibilities with implementation, control and monitoring talents.
Competent EHS skills and knowledge of EHS Operational Control and EHS Management requirements in Industrial Shop Services and/or Field Services
Understanding of the procedures of multiple EHS reporting, recording, incident investigating, and operating processes.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse group of different nationalities
What do I need to know?
Standard PC programs like Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint.etc
Excellent communication skills in English and knowledge of Arabic, and Urdu or any other Asian language would be an asset.
