Program Lead, Private Equity – Jeddah – Islamic Development Bank

JOB PURPOSE: This role is responsible for managing the private equity business focus area for the ASAM Department which includes developing / refining strategy, developing and implementing partnerships with other General Partners, establishing fund management teams, overseeing fund management, raising funds, managing budget and finances, and maintaining client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing a business strategies for sector based private equity funds and converting this strategy into tactical plans that can be implemented and monitored. Provide inputs to the Head of the Department in setting the strategic direction.
Developing and implementing partnership with Private Equity General Partners to develop and launch sector based private equity funds. Manage the end-to-end process of setting up a private equity fund including but not limited to: selecting a partner, defining the fund structure, developing commercial terms, obtaining internal approvals and fund raising.
Managing private equity funds through collaboration with fund management teams.
Managing fund performance through oversight from the board and investment committees.
Supervising team members in the preparation of preliminary reports, research work, analysis and financial models for the fund.
Maintaining client relationships and acting as an advisor to help clients manage and complete their projects.
Develop relationship with sector experts and project managers (whether internal or external) and bring them onto a project to ensure the successful completion of a project. Ensuring that ICD’s network of strategic alliances is leveraged to bring in deep sector expertise, where required.
Ensure effective and efficient implementation of policies and practices pertaining to all ASAM matters to ensure consistency and transparency.
Review internal processes and procedures to make appropriate amendments where necessary to ensure relevancy of current policies in relation to business and operational needs.
Maintain positive relationships with internal & external parties including government/ statutory bodies, industry practitioners , relevant subject matter experts to support smooth running of department operations.

Educational Qualification::
Bachelors degree in economics or finance or business
Masters degree or a post graduate certificate – MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent will be an advantage
Work Experience:: 8+ years of experience in private equity.

Skiils: English is a must .
