Position: Museum Educator

Work Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia
The position is based in one of Al Falak projects in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
The Museum Educator plans, facilitates, and assists the Education Department of the Museum. Working with other Museum Educators in planning, developing, and delivering Museum Public Programs targeting children, families, adults, schools, and general public. The Museum Educator perform and conduct evaluation and research duties as well as delivering and overseeing Public Programs in all museum components. Museum Educators work very closely with the Research and Evaluation Team and Gallery Curators in developing and evaluating their programs.
Duties are varied, but typical job functions include (but are not limited to):
Work with galleries curators in planning and developing Public Programs.
Deliver Public Programs.
Oversee program delivery in assigned galleries and evaluate and asses program delivery, facilitators, and program content.
Work with Research and Evaluation Team and Compile quarterly reports about program performances.
BA or BS in Museum Education, Education, Art, Art History, Art Education, Geography, Science or a related field.
Keen passion for education, arts, and culture.
Fluent in Arabic and English languages, both oral and written.
Excellent public speaking skills.
Able to work on individual projects as well as collaborate and contribute to the Education Department’s team efforts.
Managerial skills, and ability to exercise good judgment, critical problem solving and initiative.
Research and evaluation skills.
Friendly and professional demeanor. Able to communicate enthusiastically yet maturely with a wide range of populations and in front of large groups, including community groups, children, local community leaders, teachers, and parents.
Two or three years of experience in teaching or training, or related experiences, preferably in a arts organization/museums or other related office environment.
