PA T&C Manager – Riyadh Metro Project – Siemens AG

What are my responsibilities?
Reporting to the Installation & Commissioning Manager, the PA T&C Manager will be responsible for:

Provide good written, clear, concise reports along with the ability to present findings to Management
Liaison with all parties concerned to ensure successful commissioning and integration of the PAVA system.
Daily reporting of site progress, ensuring that progress is measured in terms of planned V actual
Liaison on and off site with the Sub contractor.
Highlighting any slippages and actions taken for recovery.
Testing and commissioning of PAVA system according to SIT procedures
Test using V&V methodology
Interface integration and testing with Rail Com manager and SCADA
Interface Integration with Fire and Life Safety
Troubleshooting interface, networks, drivers relating to the overall PAVA system.
Participate in ITP witnessing as and when directed
Management of version and configuration control.
Produce test specifications and co-ordinate testing of the work packages.
Follow the schedule and targets set in order to finish the works on time, highlight to the Installation Manager where improvements are possible and where the deadline cannot be met
Prepare , in conjunction with the Sub Contractor the As-Built mark-ups as feedback to the CAD-Designers after handover
Assist, where appropriate or directed by the Install Manager with Commissioning activities
Follow the schedule and targets set in order to finish the works on time, highlight to the Installation Manager where improvements are possible and where the deadline cannot be met
Produce regular reports and attend internal and external meetings to discuss both progress and technical issues.
Reporting of daily progress and any incidents or accidents
Be safety conscious in terms of Method statements and safe systems of works.
Inspecting works daily, documenting any snagging items or T&C defects for inclusion in the Master Snag List.
Managing PAVA related Snag items through to completion.
Dealing with any site specific queries – escalating unresolved issues where appropriate.

What do I need to qualify for this job?
Electrical or Communications Engineering degree or equivalent from reputable university or college
Six years or more work experience on Communication or Electrical Installation Project or similar
Experienced in Senior / System / Testing Engineering
Experienced in dealing with installation teams
Knowledge and experience in reading and understanding designs, installation principles NFPA standards
Fluent in speaking and writing in English language
Thorough working knowledge and experience of installing and testing and commissioning on PAVA systems ( ASL or similar)
Experienced in working in a multicultural environment
